Things Not To Do, Or Try For Catfishing!!!!

So lets not make this a thread on techniques or small details. I wanna know definite DO NOT, YOU WILL WISH YOU NEVER DID !!! LOL Some of the craziest stories you have ever been involved with or heard!!!! .. I will get it started with.... ;D rollo





Things Not To Do, Or Try For Catfishing:


1. Thaw out Frozen Shad In Your Microwave Oven!

#2. Don't ride up river in the dark with Luckeywade! Lmao! We've ramped logs, been attacked by bats, even ripped a transducer off a time or two! Haha jk Luckey!

My girlfriend gets nervous every time she has to net a fish for me. I once lost a nice one at the bank and I went off, she missed it once but it would have been a hard reach for anyone. It wasn't her fault, but I thought it was at the time. It took a lot of ass kissing to get her to net my fish again. Honestly she still gets nervous.

Dont walk away from Ur rods with Ur girlfriend by them, as soon as I walked away, I had a run, ( her first time catfishing) I yelled set the hook she set the hook without engaging the reel and caused a bird nest big enough a eagle could lay eggs in!

Yup it must be love! Lol. Good thing for her it was only 7lbs lol she still wasn't a fan at all! She went to the car later that night and I ended up landing a 24lber by hand myself....sure could've used her then lol...think people are sceptical because they think the flathead is gonna bite down on their hand like a channelcat...just glad she is willing to try and really excited cause she wants to go out with me more this year and wants her own custom wrapped pink rods lmao

Never fall asleep or get sleepy on rivers with barges within the channel markers. Stay alert and stay safe ( I got lucky ) and also never fall asleep with the aerator running a with small shad they will stop up your tube and flood the boat. I am Guilty and Charged on both.

Don't leave/forget Shad/bait in your boat for two weeks make sure they are all Out!!!

Empty and wash your bait cooler out after fishing!

1.....Never lip an 8lb channel cat like a bass friends can vouch for me he bit down so hard n fast it sounded like someone slammed a screen door shut on my finger...

2.... NEVER EVER lay ur rod on a guard rail it will go in weather a fish is on the line or you knock it in urself yes i told a friend not to do this and 20 mins later i was fishing hirs rod n reel back outta the lake which i did manage to get back for him.

3..... NEVER dump 2 day old mid july sun baked for 2 days old chicken liver that was purple in the water when the bite is already going awesome .......the fish get sick n get lock jaw ya know its bad when ya dump rotten chick liver in and the fish vacate the area for like 2 hrs hope some people can look back on times shared n laugh at all this now ,,,,,,, i know i sure can god times with friends n hope to have more to come
