Fish from way up north

For the past three years I have had the opportunity to go do some fishing in Alaska. I had never in my life thought that I wanted to go to the great frozen north. Heck after all that's where eskimos live. A couple good friends of mine were going up and had an open spot and generously offered me the chance to join them. With the possibility of catching some good sized fish and seeing something different I accepted their invitation. Little did I know this was the start of an addiction.

Here are a few pics of some salmon and halibut that I have caught. Hope ya enjoy.

I would love to catch one of them Halibut. Ive watched guys fishing for them on TV and man they put up a hell of a fight! Thanks for the post and pics Jason!

Man, that would be a trip of a lifetime for myself. I look forward to getting the chance to go there some day Jason. I have been fishing in Canada before, but to say you have fished in Alaska! Awesome! Great pictures to man! rollo

The last one was a 40 pound female king I caught out of the Kenai River last year. This was by far the hardest fighting fish that I have ever caught. We landed it atleast 2 miles down river from where I hooked it after being pulled up, down, and across the river for 45 minutes. Just when I thought it was beat she would see the boat and it was on again. lol
