sweet flathead pic!!
the post above the pic I don't know if I can agree with, a good friend of mine catches more big fish than anyone I know and uses steel leaders. I don't use them, although I'm a firm beleiver that catfish are not the least bit line shy......

Or the one with the high vis is just an UNLUCKY rod, LOL!!!! I don't believe that catfish are line shy either. If they were, they would never get caught on a trotline!!!

Yea just me being superstitious I am sure lol.
I will most likely not change the line anyways, just a reason to rant while this cabin fever is coming close to an end.

I went over it a few weeks ago and as Aaron said I was breaking my neck. It looks to be deep with lots of wood and I seen a lot of rock and cliffs with undercut banks. Looks like a great flathead river.

I found a spot last week that was shallow maybe 3ft but down the bank it dose get deeper how and would you find Flathead's in this type of situation in a lake ? there is cover around wood and i be leave some rock also how would you fish this type of situation from the bank and what rig would you choose ? I think is a slow slope from shallow to deep water ?

sniper your question is kinda vague without knowing forsure where your talkin about or lookin at a topographic map..........but from my experience the best way to tell if a bank spot is good is to fish it throw out a spread of baits that you're confident in and let em soak........fish it a night or two. Try it in the summer, try it in the fall....I've had a particulaur bank spot on the lake i used to live on that was dynomite in the early spring into may then the rest of the year you couldn't buy a bite during summer and into fall...
