Well I ended up getting the 7" lowrance instead of the 5. What happened was I stopped by the Charlotte bass pro kinda late....went straight to the sonar counter and told the gentleman I wanted that elite 5dsi that was on sale. He gave me the box and I headed to checkout. I didn't realize till a couple weeks later he gave me the regular elite 5, not the dsi that has down scan....and they were both $399 after rebate. Anyway when I realized it I was in baton rouge so I went up to their bass pro to exchange it for the dsi. Came to find out they were sold out, the guy said they couldn't keep em on the shelf at that price. So I just upgraded to the 7" screen for couple more hundred. I think I will be happier with the bigger screen.

heck, i wished i've fished half the water i've passed by working on the road. Just this past couple weeks drove down the I-10 corridor from Jcksnville fl - baton rouge, and all over the state of louisianna. There's so many nice looking coastal rivers alond the panhandle as well as alabama & miss. I sure would like to take a month and pull the flatbottom down there.....

Thats actually pretty cool to get to see so much across the states. Atleast you have opitions for your time off thats alot better than simply googling, and winging a new trip in the dark. I'm sure alot of them new trips are winging, by trial and error.. But, it's awesome to get a glance at different areas along with the waterways, and decide which you would like to try.. rollo

Must be bad when the old lady makes you get out and exercise. Lol. Just kidding. Keep it up. You'll start feeling a difference in no time.
