I have a 1448 Legend Craft allweld that I use mostly for crappie fishing but since my son and I have started to catfish some I wanted to set it up for catfishing too. I welded one rod holder on the side and will be adding one to the other side also plus add another 2 as shown in the last pic. Going to pull one of the aluminum floor panels up and weld in some aluminum angle for a couple more seat pedestal plates so that I can have 2 seats in the bottom that are side by side. I will try to post pics as the work progresses.    |

Well I got the other rod holders welded in and also added a rail on one side of the boat to steady myself when moving around in the boat. I have it mocked up and will finish welding the uprights in tonight or tomorrow.

that rail will be real nice. especially when you are trying to not piss in the boat or on yourself

Looks good man! I take it have done quite a bit of welding in your day! Thanks....being born and raised on a farm, you learn to do a lot of things. I just bought my tig welder last winter. I don't weld for a living, although I used to oxy/acetylene braze copper return fittings in an air conditioning coil manufacturing plant around 25 years ago if that counts... |

that rail will be real nice. especially when you are trying to not piss in the boat or on yourself ya know it works really well for that very thing...tried it out a couple times this week  |
