Dude, The winter time is the best time for Big Blues. Between Oct and April is some hard hitting with Big Bait presentation and a very good bite. I'm just now starting to get excited. If you can sit in a tree stand and hunt. It is no different.

You should loosen up your drags when ever you bring them home. It is especially important during long term storage. Leaving pressure on the drag springs all the time will flatten and weaken the springs them over time. I will back off the drag and wipe off the out side when they are stored long term, then do maintenance in the spring.

If you are from georgia is there such thing as winter. the only time we hang it up here is when the ice is too thick to drive the boat thru and not thick enough to walk on. Theres alot of videos showing it. the rest of the time is game on. the only winter storage i would recomend is to remove all the line from your poles............. then in spring you have the perfect excuse to buy all new!!!!!!! Oh and loosen the drag.
