Never noticed it before, but that fish bears a strong resemblance of another from a few years back. Some spot and everything. Attachments:

Nice fish! Its so awesome that you released him! I know alot of guys that never release bid ones. I think that is such a shame. Great job!!!

Thankfully the majority of serious flathead fishermen around us release all flathead. We know that trophy flathead are a very small resource. Releasing flathead most definitely pays off. We have caught the same fish multiple times. A few years ago I caught a small flathead one night and my buddy caught the same fish a few hours later. The main reason to release trophy fish is so they can reproduce other flathead for years to come.

I feel terrible that I didn't know. I guess you just lose touch, but I stopped at his place at Seneca last week to see him. Thank goodness no one was around, that would have went badly.
