Took a friend out from work the other night. He's a hunter, but only an avid fisherman usually just bluegill, crappie and small channels. He was under the impression for some reason that only on occasion do we find big fish. And that we just happen to get lucky every once in a while. Well not here. I've only skunked three times this year (sorry Chuck). Well, we started off super slow. Not even a bite for the first two hours, so we moved. The next spot we hit was a little different. After about 15 minutes we had a run that took the bait. so I thought I'd check the other poles and they were all gone without even a tug. rebaited and about 10 minutes later he got a dink. But if you can't tell he was not all that impressed. But the skunk was gone for the night and the bite was on. After an 18 in the boat, and then a twenty his attitude changed a whole lot. we had several missed run, I'm assuming from channels. Finished up with 6.5 channel. then had to call it a night but at least he had fun. 18.7 20.6

Nice! Getting skunked is all part of flathead fishing Scott. I've had more than my fair share, lol.
