has anyone ever fished for muskie.... im going fish a river that has lots of muskie breeding..... hoping to get some advise ;D

I used to troll for Muskies on Salt Fork years ago. We used Dipsy Divers to pull Big inline Mepps spinners, and also stick baits. They are a fish of a thousand casts like most say. However, like big pike... You will remember the fish and fight for sure.. Goodluck... rollo

thanks but im fishin a river in west virginia called the little kanawha river..... the state record flathead came out of there, and last saturday a 4 foot long muskie was pulled out of there ;D

Wish I could help but I never tried to fish for musky. I got one last year that struck a bare hook as I was moving a rod in preparation for flathead fishing. Good thing I had Ducky along to help land it!

yep just go flathead fishing, i think we catch more than the musky guys! WE catch a bunch of musky while saugeye fishing every year in march, weve caught 9 so far this year, all with vibees, i catch a few every year saugeye fishing durring may too, usualy i am just casting cranks or hopkins spoons, if ya wann try for some i would just cast a crank and hope you get lucky!
