which wont be hard, put it in a friend farm pond that's about 2 acres, give it two weeks.
Might not be quite that easy. We had our three quarter of an acre pond stocked with two dozen channels and were lucky to catch one or two all year. In fact we have only caught one while fishing for them, the others have been off of crankbaits and spinners baits.
I know a guy who put a dozen flatheads weighing in the teens in a 3 acre pond. He fished for them on and off for a few years, and I think he only caught one before running a trot line to remove them.
I know of another pond (less than an acre) that has one flathead in it and it has never been caught, its just been witnessed swimming the banks a few times.
With that being said, a fish that large will have to eat quite a bit. So I imagine your odds are slightly different than the ones above.
