Well guys i called off work sick today and went fishing. . LOL. . And the end result was my first ever NORTHERN PIKE.. By the time i left i ended up catching 4 and lost 2 other ones.. . . For being small they sure put up a good fight, and damn are there teeth sharp( yeah i found out the hard way)

Awesome man! I have been to Canada fishing Pike! We still chase them around here also each year! They are a fish of their own for sure! Congrats! rollo

It sure was nice today. Great report. What part of Ohio are you catching Northerns in? I have been dying to catch a musky and or a northern pike for a while now. Just don't wanna have to drive 5 hours and take 20 trips to catch one.

Mohican River Sean up here by danville where I live. There's a few great musky lakes also around here. Alum creek lake is one of the best musky fisheries in the state.

I might have to make a trip up that way then. Maybe might even have to get some info from you when that time comes. It's just one of those things I have always wanted to do.

I might have to give them a shot this spring. I guess I could troll crakbaits while I look for prime cat spots during scouting.

Only times I have ever caught Pike was in the Mohican river while throwing cutbait...I had no idea they would hit cut perch....assumed they were purely a visual predator...

Piedmiont lake is in the top 3 lakes in ohio to catch a 40in plus musky in this lake holds the state record of 55lbs for a musky for a very very long time now the fish in on display in the piedmont marina there great flatheads in piedmont also
