This fish was hefty and chewed up my hands that were already raw. It released like a rocket in the morning and we hope to see it again in the next year or two.

You should have some new fishing partners and bait catchers from now on. A trip like this really gets folks interested in flathead fishing,

My wife went Sept 26 and got her a cat. 41 pounds and a Chinese fire drill to land. Released after weight and photos.

Glad or the enclosure on the pontoon since temp dropped to around 40 degrees. Fished alone so I brought them back to dock to find a cameraman. Hope to have a great week and share some big fish with my wife and friends.

Definitely much more fun when the big fish cooperate. Stay on them till water gets too cool.

Chuck brought me 3 new Troph-E-Cat rods this spring and I finally got a 50+ to break one in. Fished alone and kept cool. I got a channel cat and 35 and 52 pound flatheads. Kip was invited but couldn't fish.

Joe Shaw has been tearing them up in lake North of me. He has fished uncomfortable wet and cold but he is on flathead!

Lively bait is a key component to catching flathead. I hope all the rest line up for a good trip.
