Had a great time tonight. Thanks for putting that on for us. Now I should have enough sinkers to last for quite a while. Both of us had fun. It was good seeing people again and also good meeting new people.
Thanks for the beans Phil, and thanks for the ziti smokey, both were very good. I would like to have the recipe for that ziti.....lol

Got my stuff this afternoon. I love the look of the kalex's on the tiger rods. They look pretty mean. Was going to put the rod holders on this weekend, but looks like it is going to rain. So I am going to go sit in Johnny's garage at the sinker gathering lol

I use 6/0, 8/0 and 10/0 gammas. I have had my best luck with them. I have a stockpile of them, if I ever get low, I'll probably try Dave's hooks out.

Lmao. I put on quite a few lbs Over the last three or four years. Mainly because I gave up being a mechanic. My wife has been in me about losing weight, which I do need to do. She says she wants me to stay healthy, but I think it's really because she has to chock her left side in bed. Cause when I get in bed, I sink so far down that she rolls over to my side......

No power handles. Probably order them in a couple of weeks. I was going to get them together but I had to get some work done on the truck which set me back a little. Plus I picked up a hummingbird 597ci and some drift socks from bps that set me back a little also.
Lol Johnny, I thought that is what the lead was for.

I have one of the old shimano 6500 bait runners. Bought it probably late eighties. It's as good now as it was then. Caught a 31 pound blue on it and had no problems. Spinning reels are just as good as bait casters in my opinion.
I have two of the newer shimano 3500's. They are a great channel at reel. As been said, the clicker is not real loud. I would put any of the spinning reels I bought for catfish against any comparable bait caster.
I had an eagle claw spinning reel for flats when I was growing up. My dad has it put up in his drawer now, it's at least 25 years old, but man it's a beauty. I caught a lot of fish on that thing.

Waiting for my order to come in. Two tiger rods, two kalex's and some rod holders. Too bad I'll be in Baltimore monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Since I won't be home, they will most definitely make it there before me so I have to suffer until I get home.......

It helps a lot. Seems like the size ten are perfect for bait
