I dont think i would ever get another catmaxx rod...Personally I think they are over priced...I can buy a much better custom rod for not much more than you would pay for a catmaxx rod...

i read like 19 reviews on BPS.com. they have the 7ft hvy action in one piece. and they have all stainless eyes...I wont buy a rod unless its one piece and has all stainless guides.

Lakes 2oz eggs, or 3oz no roll. Tusc River i usually have a 3oz no roll, or 4oz flat bank. Larger Rivers, 4oz flat bank, or I will put on two 3oz no rolls.

Big lively baits, this goes for anywhere! We fished one time last year, and it was a good thing we decided to leave at midnight instead of staying all nite cuz when we reeled in all our baits were dead! and there was 4 of us fishing, thats alot of dead baits!

I have a camp on the killbuck creek just up 60. We put in way up stream and float down, we just hit all the log jams. We catch a ton of channel cats. We use all kinds of different baits, but nothing out of the ordinary. We do catch alot of shrimp though.

Anyone have any of the Bone Island rods made by Polekat? I got 4 of them early this spring, and I caught my biggest flathead this year on one of them paired with abu7000. Handled great!

Right now I just use a large cooler with two small aerators, and I use a fish saver pump that I will put on for about an hour or so as soon as I put the bait in. Then I will turn it on various times that I see the water getting dirty. The thing that sucks here is that I cant use any town water on my bait, it kills them within seconds, so I have to go to the creek and get buckets of water every couple days. But I can keep bait alive for several weeks with this set up.
I am in the process of making my old HUGE deep freezer a bait tank. I could fit 100's of baits in it, just have to take the time to get it set up. Once I get it set up Ill take some pics.
