went fishing with kyle (camaroman) and he landed two with the largest being 38 inches(fish ohio) and another smaller one and lost a couple more.i snagged one and lost four more either when they jumped out of water or fought them for awhile and hooks pulled out.i guess i need some chubs and some gamakatsus for round two.we didnt bring a net so when he got the first one to shore i tried to grab it and ended up with a treble hook buried in my finger. He cut the lure hook and i took the pliers and jerked the rest of the hook out.No hospital bill!!!!!Cant wait for the rivers to go down to catch some cats busy for next couple weeks but after that im ready to roll.I ended up with a fish ohio saugeye on fire tiger shad rap.

Luckey after reading your post that you were using zebco products and landing those big flatheads that you do on the mighty musk.I thought about it and came to the conclusion that a 33 is pure overkill. So i went out and bought me a couple of matching 202s with stock rods and spooled with 100lb power pro. With a 202 it takes a little longer in get them to the bank as in with the 33 but the fun is in the battle wouldnt you say.My favorite reel is a abu 6500 CT Chrome Rocket and various other Abus

I am a multi species angler.I like panfishing especially big gills and redears and crappies too.Went ice fishing about 3 or 4 times this winter and then got bronchitis which knocked me out for the rest of the ice fishing season close to home.Thinking about going to kentucky lake in may for the big gills/redears i think crappies are about done spawning by then.Mostly use redworms most of the year and ice jigs/waxworms for the ice and bass minnows or jigs for crappies.Anybody else been to KY Lake. Thanks for the invitation to your new site and it looks great.Just bought a shimano saros ultralight reel and cant wait to try it out on the panfish and probably on a channel cat or two
