I need to buy the no roll sinker molds it would save tons those things get expensive. What i keep telling myself with flatheads is its not really the depth its the cover and for some reason i still find myself just chucking it out there thinking the deeper the better but i know its not true just a hard habit to break haha.

I have seen a few different kinds on the market Deeper is supposed to be one of the better products. Only complaint i have heard which it could be resolved is it will see logs or structure and say its fish and not structure. From what i heard using it as a depth finder and such works great but the fish finder is not reliable. I am also really close to buying one trying to read these rivers and holes is really hard so any help is a plus.

I brought up Steve Douglas to another catfisherman not on this site and he was not a fan. Guess they had met a few times but blamed Steve for "Selling out" to the commercial fisherman in KY. I think its pretty universal most real catmen have no love for paylakers. I live close to P2 and would never entertain the idea of fishing in that diseased hole of overstocked ponds. Just don't see the challenge or fun in it.

Thanks, I have been reading up on Kahle hooks and the advantage of using them especially with flat heads. I do miss the sound of that clicker screaming. But also have seen people using circles for flat heads too to each there own. I'm still at a learning curve because me personally finding catching flatheads is more challenging than any other catfish species. Its hard to hit them log jams from the bank with out loosing tackle everytime. Any input would help.

Has anyone been using them. I have started and seem to have more bites when fishing for blues haven't had a chance to target the flatties with them yet yet. Thoughts?

I heard the Charlie Browns are good hooks. I have been testing the Whisker Seeker Octo circles seem to be the sharpest by far out of the pack compared to TC Double action. Just got the New Triple threat hooks from Whisker Seekrs haven't been able to use them yet.

Personally I wrap each one individually in shrink wrap put a few to small zip lock bag throw it in the deep freeze. When they thaw they still seem to be fresh and the blood is still red not the nasty brown.
