Cool Joe, I've been looking on getting a system like that made up. Right now I have about 100 pretied rigs in a mess in my tackle bag. I like the idea of the small binder.

i just bought a bag from bass pro that has about 10 of the bags like that can hold plenty of gear got room for everything i need and its not big at all paid 35 bucks for it or somthin like that i even got enough room for sinkrs i keep my big bag at home and just retie rigs as i need them and it dosent take up alot of space in say a small flat bottom or somthin like that i do like the idea you did with the smaller bags tho for each individual rig thats pretty slick where did you get the smaller bags from ?..

That's pretty sweet...I've been pretty jealous of Jeremy Wade's binder system...always wondered where to find em tho I never really researched it much...would love to start using the binders before this spring....when I used the bags it always somehow turned into a hassle for me.

I like the idea for guys that do a lot of fishing in specific areas. Such as guides that fish only one river. I pre-tied rigs for a while, but I found that there where too many situations to account for. Long leader versus short leader (lake v. river), Hook size (2/0 -10/0, circle v. octopus), line pound test (20lb channel, 40lb flathead/blue), and on and on. I ended up just leaving my rigs at home and tying new ones on the water anyway.

Great post man! I also pre-tie alot of mine also. However, to save space and bags, I pre-tie 5-10, and lay the hooks together after tieing the leader lines. Then lay the hooks together, and band them with rubber bands. This keeps them from tangleing. I then keep them in a gallon freezer bag labeled accordingly. So when you get in your catbag, esp. in the dark you have them handy! Simply pull the band of hooks out, grab a hook, and pull the leader line free of the band. Pre-tied hooks, especially if you snell yours are very handy to have on hand esp. after dark! Thanks for the post! Def. A great idea for all , no matter how you go about pre-tieing, and keeping them! rollo Here is a picture to give ya an idea how I keep mine. Note: I do tie some swivels up also, but I often use 3-ways, and rig many different ways. So I don't pre-tie all up with swivels. I don't mind a knot or two in the dark if needed. Still better than tieing the entire rig.

I ordered my smaller bags off of amazon it was like 500 for 6$. I have been told they can be found in wal mart and other craft stores as well. The binders can be found at cabelas or bass pro shops, i ordered my tackle bag with a double binder system built into the side. and i have a smaller one if i plan on doing a good amount of walking so i can travel light.

I'm pretty sure them hooks are the Charlie Brown Hooks from Wild Wolf Products. It's a double action hook. You can set it or use it as a circle. I had some awhile back and really liked them.
