Talked to a buddy today he said he caught 11 walleye/sauger last sunday at an Ohio river dam, he said the spring run has started. Just want to throw that out there for anyone interested. Any MEMBER who would like the location send me a PM and I will hook you up.

would that be an indicator that the saugeye are running in little creeks and rivers?

I'm not sure of that, it's been several years since I have fished for them but if my failing memory serves me right this is the timeframe that I used to catch them at Dillon Falls and the Wills Creek dam. Hope this helps.

My best luck is with white or red grubs on a jighead, I have also had good luck with a jighead tipped with a minnow (if you can get them). If they are running they will be stacked in the spillway or just below it at Wills Creek, you most likely will have company if they are running. Good luck brother.
