Well.I finally got up enough gumption to give my boat a spring shake down cruise.I thought if I'm heading for water I may as well take a few minnies and a canepole to test the brush at Dillon.I grabbed a couple dozen at D&D bait and headed for the Lake.I backed in my boat but left it on the trailer just in case she wouldn't start and I wouldn't have to reload it.Now the ol girl fired right up,sounded good so I shut it off ,pulled up the ramp a peice, unhooked and backed her back in and took a ride.I hit 3 0r 4 spots that usually hold a few crappies.Bite was a little slow but I did find a covey of 10-12 inchers.I cleaned 16 good ones.I made a neighbor happy with half of them-I destroyed the other half. They tasted great so I'm going again to Buckeye first of the week to see if I can round up a few more.Water temp was 54.6.. It won't be long and Mr.Whiskers will be on the prow and life will be good.Good fishing and be safe.
