For a small lake what would be recommended for channel catfish bait?

We're ya located Derek? Livers, nightcrawlers, cut bluegill, chubs, cut shad to name a few. I've caught channels on all of these. You fishing a public lake or a large pond stocked?

depends on what kind of small lake, and what size channels your looking for.
