We tested them on the James river last year. Wasn't real impressed with the durability of these hooks. While pulling the hook out with pliers we bent 3 hooks.

What hooks would you recommend that I could use for channels and flatheads? I run circles no matter what normally. I have never had hook up problems. I bought some of bottom dwellers but they don't have above 4/0 now. I was looking to get a good quantity for good price if possible. Thanks

I don't like khales seams like every big fish I hook with them come undone I been using owner ssw's and mutsu, and the team catfish double actions and super cat circles and them 4 hooks are working great for me

I really think it's a preference thing. I rarely fish for channels anymore but when I do I use the 6/0 bottom dwellers circles. Fishing for shovel heads I use 9/0 Charlie Brown hooks. No complaints with either hook.

If possible, what is a hook that I could use for everything, an all around hook? I could use it for whatever I want to do. Is it possible?

i love kahles use them 99% of the time. other 1% is circles for channel tournies
bottom dwellers or gamakatsu 8/0 circles could double duty well
personally i dont like circles for flatheads but others love them. they are great for blues and channels though

then i would experiment with 8/0, 9/0, and 10/0 really a channel will eat anything it can fit in its mouth so 9 and 10 arent to big especially if you are targeting bigger fish.

I'd check out the 7/0 Charlie Brown hooks. They are a mix between a khale and a circle. A true double action hook. You can set the hook like a J hook or let it load up like a circle. It would be a perfect size for all species of catfish

the hook gap on those perfect circle looks decent which i think is where a lot of circle hooks fall short
