Its cooling off outside. I'm getting excited, Time to start chuckin out some big baits. Hope to see some big fish soon. My wife says fishing season is almost over. I just smile and say "sure it is". She never learns.

Me too! Although I'm thinking more of the lines of 30s and 40s for me, goose season is over for awhile and I'm off the whole weekend! Planning on getting a few of them flathead!

I ain't caught monsters like u guys but last 2 weekends me and the wife have have good luck getting 5 to 10 channels

Let me clear that up I mean we caught some 5 to 10 pound channel cats not 5 to 10 fish...lol

5 to 10's are pretty good for bank fishing. I don't know too many bank spots where you can get anything over a 10 except at spillways. but around me they are waaaaaayyyyyyy to overfished.

From the boat 15's are quite common. I'm up to 23 this year that were over 15.

Fall bite is in full throttle right now. Big temp changes this week so not much time left for us in the north country.
Been an amazing year up here on the Red for big fish. It has literally been weeks since I didn't break 15 pounds on an outing.

Caught a 44" 48lb Flathead on the Mississippi yesterday. Im Guessing 45-50 lbs. What do you guys think? I didn't have a scale.
