My favorite bait is shad and i like to run it on the bottom cut or alive doesnt matter to me i usually hook the live shad through the lips or in the back meat if i cut shad i thread a pocket of the middle section onto the hook and usually a 3/4 ounce sinker with a cigarette butt for a stopper works great for me i use the same rig for chicken liver maybe ill slip a bobber and split shot on aside from the sinker and float liver 4 feet deep around logs and docks
