I wouldn't say that. I'm currently taking courses in college that teach me how to use these programs in case I ever have to use them in my future career. I have access to many people who have doctorates and are willing to help, so I try to take advantage of that. I'm just messing around with the program to see what I can get out of it.

just by looking at the map and never fishing the lake if i had one nite to fish and catch a flathead at that lake i would fish the north west end of the lake and drop baits out in the channel.

I'll give it a shot in a few weeks, but I have yet to catch a flathead out of this lake though. The only problem is that most of that part of the lake has little to no structure, its been developed. (Marina and a beach) I'm sorry for beating a dead horse, but here's what the map looks like now. I have cleaned up the buffers, and made it more readable. I'll start the analysis part soon. Heres the the first final map. I used the following criteria to make the suitability analysis. Main Channel=.25 Depth=.25 Tributaries=.2 Main Lake Points= .075 Beach=.075 Rip Rap=.075 Docks=.075 I figured I would use these as a starting point. This project turned out to be a final for one of my classes. I have to present a poster explaining this and why I made the choices that I did. If anyone wants me to make the map again with different criteria let me know. Its as simple as plugging in different numbers. I need more than one map for the project anyway. Feel free to critique, it will only make my presentation stronger. (Note that the suitability numbers do not equal 1, this is because there is more to it than I have explained. So for now just assume that they are ranked from least likely to most likely.) I was impressed with Brock's judgment, he nailed it. If I had to choose a spot to fish after making this map, it would definitely be on the northwest side. Attachments:
