Did you mean like this? One of the racks in the garage. Or like this? They all catch big flathead but we plan on where to fish and take the best qualified outfit for the job.

That was from a trip to the Keys. After the first shark I didn't lip em anymore.
Those are Shimano Charter Special reels. The lever drag version of the TRs.

When you set them up they are a little smoother than Abu 7000s. I got most of my Charter Specials at the Cabelas in Dundee Michigan. But I got one or 2 from Ebay. Made for charter boats on Salt water or Great lakes these reels are made to take years of punishment. Just like what they get flathead fishing. www.tackledirect.com/shimcharspec.htmlThese reels are quite pricey and that is why I recommend the TRs to catmen.

Will, if you like them you should get you a TR. shimano triton 200g to be exact. They are basically the same thing with a star drag instead of a lever drag. and about 50 bucks cheaper. Ive got 3 of them on Grandt DR70C 7ft heavy action rods. Great flathead outfits. Then I have 4 Bone Island 7ft 6in heavy action rods with 7000s, 2 Black and blue customs one with a 210 the other with an arsenal. nowall i need to do is get out and shake the dust off of them!
