Never said they couldnt be members just asked that they not discuss it.
Plus the internet is unregulated, thats the nature of the beast. I wouldnt worry about that at all Kip.
That rule is put in place to keep proboards safe in case people are starting hate forums against other races, sexual preference, etc.. Its simply to cover their ass. It really doesnt apply to this situation at all.

First of all, understand this!....I pole fish only.....but just saying be careful about "signifying hate towards other groups/people", discriminating against others because they don't fish the same way you do. Things can get really nasty with stuff like this. Then you end up with the board shut down just because some signify hate towards a group/person just because of the way they choose to catch fish, foolishness. just in case you don't know... Definition of Signify... 1 a : to be a sign of : MEAN b : IMPLY 2 : to show especially by a conventional token (as word, signal, or gesture) intransitive verb 1 : to have significance : MATTER 2 : to engage in signifying Definition of Hate.... 1 : to feel extreme enmity toward 2 : to have a strong aversion to : find very distasteful : to express or feel extreme enmity or active hostility. 1 a : intense hostility and aversion usually deriving from fear, anger, or sense of injury b : extreme dislike or antipathy : LOATHING 2 a : an object of hatred This thread was started to keep drama off this site. I can't find any mention of hate. It has always been the practice of site administrators and moderators to keep unwanted content off their boards. I see no problem with this. It keeps the peace, and keeps the boards free of bickering and name calling. I have dealt with this on two of my groups. It's not good to have to remove a bunch of hateful content, and ban people. I strongly support a persons right to have their own opinion, and freedom to express it. But, if you allow people to say anything they want, in anyway they want, some people will act like children and disrupt other members enjoyment of the group. You also run the risk of loosing loyal members who get blasted, or simply don't like all the name calling or bickering. On my groups, a couple people decided it was their mission to call out everyone who believed in catfish conservation. Although the content and people involved were removed, the effects have basically killed the groups. Instead of several posts a day, we now get a few posts a month, if that. So say what you will, I see no mention of hate or discrimination here. Just administrators doing what should be done to keep a happy healthy group. |
