Well tonight i was gonna go fishing then this storm moved in and shot that all to crap so i was thinking of putting together a bullhead /channel cat rig hear is what i came up with i had a 7ft med action night stick white casting rod sitting around and a Zebco 33 platinum reel laying around so i striped off the 6lb mono and threw some 20lb big game figured it would be good for bully's in cover and a channel cat hit's i got a fair chance of landing him also i will send pics to kip and see if he will post them for me so y'all can see it ain't pretty but it should work ok for what i want it for might have 50yds of 20lb mono but hell in the creek i fish that all ya need really lol even got a bait clicker on the reel so when i gonna pee i can turn it on and walk away to pee lol with out a fish stealing my combo. What y'all think of my new set up?

Doesnt sound bad for the application you are using it for, but if I was you I would downsize the line to about 14lb. You will find with them close faced reels that if you use line that is too heavy for the reel they will end up not casting for ya.

For channels and bullheads 14 would be plenty...esp for that reel. Then again if you are gonna primarily use it on the stillwater you won't need much casting distance. It might actually hurt the reeling ability too.....but I don't know that for sure
