Getting ready to purchase a new video camera. Anyone have reviews on them, and how they perform in the dark? rollo

Haven't had alot of time to mess with it, but so far I like it. Lots of different settings. Gotta chance to try it out the other night. rollo

I haven't seen one used in low light conditions, but it is on my list for next year when I do my annual winter ordering.

Rollo I have shot video for several years. I have conflict about shooting night video. To shoot at night would require lots of light and I know the light would scare flathead. Although I am tempted to set up the camera to film catfish fights I reckon the lights would scare any other flathead in the area away.
I have shot a few catches that occur when enough light is available but it is a pretty rare occurrence.
This one was shot right at daylight with the aid of a flashlight.
As you can tell there are difficulties when fishing alone ;D
This is an old one shot with a VCR camera and the cold batteries caused a stutter in the shutter.
I remain hopefull and leave my cameras in movie mode while fishing.
