Yep, your right. I looked at them last night, bass pro has some that look a little better for $19. In reality I hope I never have to use them, but better safe than sorry. I'm currently weighing my options. Thanks, for the heads up.

Just ordered 4 more driftmaster duo troller rod holders from bottom dwellers tackle. I also bought 4 side mounts and the hardware to attach them. The plan is to swap out the 4 driftmaster rod holders that are angled at 0 and 30 degrees for the duo trollers on the trolling bar I made, and then take the older driftmaster rod holders and use the side mounts to mount them along the side of the boat. This week I used the oarlock sockets to bolt the rod holders to and I like the option of 0 degrees so much that I decided to get more for the front of the boat. I'll probably end up taking a few of the pvc rod holders out, since there is really no need for 18 rod holders on a 14 footer. I'll get some pictures up when I get everything completed.
Oh and the chain on the anchor deal helped me a lot in the last week, it was really windy and I needed the extra anchor power.

Got the driftmasters put on Friday morning. Now I have a grand total of 8 on the boat. If I buy two more for the front of the boat I may get rid of the pvc rod holders completely. It would look a lot nicer and create more floor space. I would then have 3 rod holders on each side and 4 off of the back trolling bar. Here's a picture of the layout now. I bought the mounting brackets from driftmaster and they worked out great. They are real solid and easy to install. The rod holders just literally screw in, and the force of them against the boat keep them from spinning backwards when a fish loads a rod.
