Stix
I would keep both reels in good operating order. If you don't feel confident repairing your own take them to a repair shop.
Drag disk replace is a common repair. Clickers sometimes just need a spring adjustment but even if the clicker dog needs replaced it is not expensive.
Wouldn't it be better to have 2 reels you could trust?

I own a 2008, 7000ic3...a 2010 7000ics (pro rocket), and a 1998 7000i. Personally I like the newer 7000ic3 the best. It feels the smoothest, no wobble in the handle or any other parts, good drag, nice and moderate clicker. The 7000ics is supposed to be a better reel but just isnt worth the extra money in my opinion. The 7000i has fewer ball bearings so it does feel slightly cheaper, and has a really tight clicker but it works all the same.

All of my 7000c3's are the old style reels made in Sweden!!! I like them better....they are just better reels hands down than the ones made in China!!! Any ABU reel with an "i" in the number is made in China, I had had a few and got rid of them almost as fast as I got them!!!

I don't care for the lever over the button. Hanlde is more comfortable on the new style tho.
