Got a chance to do some flathead fishing the other night. Only caught one but it is the biggest of the year so far. Haven't had a chance to fish as much and when I've had the chance the rivers have been blown out so I've fished for channels.
Weighed 12lbs. Not the biggest in the world and I caught it on my girlfriends rod, a Nite Stick Lipstick. The water was still a little high so we hit a spot where a good sized feeder creek feeds into the river and is a calm pool where the river doesn't flow as hard. Caught in the Scioto just south of Columbus.

We actually missed a few runs throughout the night and when we got there we saw a couple gar at the top of the water so we figured it was the gar. Had some bites that took off and came back with shredded baits as well.
