I was just curious if anyone has tried Skipjack on any of the lakes and rivers around, aside from the Ohio?

My goal for this year is to catch a flathead and a blue! the only thing i have ever gotten are channels. my other goal is to get a channel that is over 15lbs. this year i have the right equipment and have a little more knowledge than I have in previous years.

ya if i had the money avet would be the way to go! Kip, I started with a ming last season and after a couple days i returned it. to me it was very cheaply made and could barely cast 40 yards. I replaced it with an Omot 7000. Ive had great luck so far with the omoto. for the price i dont think you can go wrong with them. i have not seen any big fish on my omoto, but ive used it on the ohio a couple times throwing 6-8 oz and it does a great job casting and feels really solid.
