Those Heavy action solid fiberglass Beefstick's are pretty much pool cues. I think I found my ultimate blank recently. It's a 6' 6" XH Super Seeker. Has a really light tip section. It's shuts down pretty quick though, and has massive amounts of backbone. My rods are meant for one thing, and one thing only...Pulling monster flatheads out of cover. They would be a poor choice for anything else.

Thanks, Kip and Bobby. I have managed to do fine from the bank up until the last few years. My spots have dried up. Time to get out on the water and find the fish.

The chain deal works great.....If you make an anchor make on to look like a ricktor anchor, they work great for digging in. My boat is named Insanity Cure. How about Catfish Master Baiter for yours ? JK ;D Now, now Ron...Don't be giving Jonous's name away just yet. LOL! We still haven't decided on a name for the boat.

That rod bends an lot for only having 22 lbs of weight hanging from it. Doesn't look like it would have very much power. I have a few rods that will take 47 lbs. of drag. That's the most I was ever willing to pull.
