I don't know... Last few weeks it seems like a lot of flatheads of size are coming out of these lakes.... These lakes must have something going on with them

I have been hearing about a lot of big 40+ flatheads coming of Knox and pleasant hill the past few weeks... Is the bite on this year.. In the past I may hear of one or two a year.... Is it like this everywhere... I know my brother David missed a nice one at Knox last Thursday on a 18 sucker... It just pulled the clicker two short distances and dropped it... Nice crunch/scale removal spots on the sucker though

Without a boat id hit the boat ramp. right now is primetime there. with those just released and the saugeye are runnin in there. There has been two 40+ flatheads caught in there in the past week. I heard about those two fish... And Knox lake had one 42 pulled off it... It seems like all the lakes around me are starting to produce some nice flatheads... I never used to hear about this many fish... Before I may hear about one a year, late year

I have been out the past 3 days cat fishing and didn't catch anything, but when out today and me and my friend caught 2 while crappie fishing... His fish was about a pound and it took a spinner bait... I caught about a half pounder on a crappie minnow... We have been having flatheads and channel action at Knox but still not much from pleasant hill Channels were the fish I was talking about... And on a side note.... Crappies are on at Knox lake

Well it's the closest lake to me... And I know it holds some monster fish, just need hook up to one... I think this lake has great potential and I think the next state record will come out of a lake like this... Where it is a muskingum watershed lake and is not fished hard for flatheads... The only thing I can think of that is making me not get fish is the facti go out when I can and not when the conditions are right.... And I really need to get a boat so I can start catching some numbers of fish

I can't figure this lake out... I saw my brothers biggest channel and my biggest lake channel on this lake but I really have any small fish luck and I never do much overall good... I can't figure this lake out... Their is soo much bait and plenty of spots to spawn... Where are the little channels... And all the flatheads... I have had the best lake runs off flatheads off this lake, but they always drop it... And I have really fished this lake hard the last 2 years... I just can't find any consistency... This lake is just weird and their is hardly any shore access... Any advice on this crazy lake which in the past was said to hold flatheads the size of Voltswagons.... And this is a Muskingum watershed lake, so why aren't their more people fishing this lake

I think it may be big male channels... They did that for us 2 years ago at pleasant hill really bad... It was many gills and green sunfish they were doing it to

Will... Dave never used carp that big with you, but he did try to suspend one off a small bridge when we fished in Nebraska(I think it was)... We still couldn't get it to plant... Me and Dave use 1 pound carp all the time with their tails cut off and they still pull the clicker.... Don't give Dave crap... Not even cool dude

Like my subject implies, I may be going kayak fishing this Saturday with my friend in his 8 foot sit-ins on a local lake of mine... It's pleasant hill reservoir and I'm wondering if anybody has fished out of a kayak or ever trolled and has some tips or pointers... I've never even trolled before, but I'm hoping to find a few flats later that night... We are planning on setting up that night on the shore and fishing for flatheads.... If you know anything or have any points I'd love to hear about them because I've never fished out a boat for anything of the whiskered kind and i don't really know where to go this early in the year.... If I catch anything ill try to post about it
