I picked up a couple new molds, I don't need 4 so a couple need to go:
HILTS bass casting sinker mold makes 2 each 1/8oz. To 2oz. uses number 1 brass eye.
DO IT MOLD round flat sinker mold makes 2 each 1.25oz., 1.50oz., 1.750z., 2oz. Uses number 1 brass eye - SOLD
Single Mold $25.00 FTF
The hilts mold I have used off of and on since the mid 80's its still in nice shape. I travel for work almost daily through Mansfield, Wooster, Coshocton, Zanesville, Newark and Marion. I would be more then happy to make arrangements to meet FTF or if I need to ship either mold individually I would be willing to split USPS flat rate box with tracking. Thanks for looking.... Fred

Dave, your right its a 15 dollar difference, so there isn't much difference cost wise, 65 lb braid, I thought I was going large with 40lb. I really want to be sure to get this rod, reel and line set up right.

I just lucked into a sit in Kayak to add to my Bank fishing gear. My plan is to use it to paddle my Bluegills and bullheads out into the lake farther then I can cast. My set ups are a pair of 5500 pro rockets on 8ft uglystik catfish rods. I am guessing lack of line capacity and the need for a stronger rod for the long hooksets will work against my current set ups. I am pretty set on a Bottom Dwellers original cat fight rod when they return to stock. Reels, I am leaning toward the 6500 series, I plan on using 40lb. Power pro braid line capacity shouldn't be a problem? I am looking at both the ProRocket and the BigGame. Leaning toward the BigGame due to it coming with the power handle and the fact that it is $20.00 cheaper then ProRocket doesn't hurt either. Am I missing something that makes the ProRocket a better choice? The only bummer with either choice is that Bottom Dwellers doesn't carry either reel. If I am overlooking a better choice and or any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the input! I think I will save my money and put it toward a baitcaster with a larger line capacity then my Abu 5500's.

I have been thinking about adding a black light to my fishing gear. I am using Big Game solar on my 5500 reels. Looking at the new LED black lights, they look to be compact in size... But are they bright enough? To those who use or have used them, would a LED black light make the solar line glow enough that I can turn the lantern way down? Are they worth the money? Or should I save my cash and put it toward a 6500?

The storms somehow went around our farm, we got less then an inch of rain. But there were trees down south of me in Utica.

After a 25 year break, I am easing back into catfishing this summer. Funny how grand kids can bring you back fishing again. Back in the late 80's I used to fish Salt Fork fairly regularly. Fast forward ahead 25 years ex wife, ex job and I settled up in the Mount Vernon area, dug out my old 5500 reels, had to replace my lost fishing rods. Due to work and time restraints around the home place I will be a bank fisherman this season, hitting mostly Knox, Charles Mill and perhaps Pleasant Hill. This fall I hope to make a trip or two east to Salt Fork or Clendening. Fred

After an extended break from catfishing, I am easing back into the sport. I am looking to trade a HILTS bass/casting sinker mold that makes weights from 1/8oz. Up to 2ozs. It uses brass number 1 eyelets. I would like a DO IT river sinker or a pyramid sinker mold 2-3-4 ounces. I know the new guy on any forum has to earn trade trust. I live near Mount Vernon and my job takes me to Mansfield, Wooster, Millersburg, Coshocton, Zanesville, Heath and Columbus on almost a daily basis. I would be more then happy to meet in person. I can also throw in a bunch of 1 oz. and 11/2 oz egg sinkers to sweeten the pot. Fred
