Winter is a good time to reflect on catfishing trips from years past. With time on my hands, I often create presents for friends. I try to make something unique and I keep busy with catfish. This is my first effort. I was experimenting before tackling more complex pictures. I even made one for myself

Very nice, especially for the first time. I would love to have one with the flathead by itself.
Fine job

Here is the backside of the big blue cat woodburning. I felt bad that I could not produce the detail I wanted to from the picture. Here is a small burn I made on the back to help learn how the burns looked and how to make strokes. I used what I learned to start burning larger more complex pieces. I am hoping to get interesting pictures of memorable fish this year to make more burnings for me and my friends next winter.
