I have one just north of me in Dundee, Mich, 30 min drive, and a Bass Pro 15 min away. I will make 20 trips to Cabelas for every 1 trip to Bass Pro. Can't beat that Cabelas guarantee, if it says Cabelas on it, no receipt needed for an exchange.

Oh the mounts and aquarium are amazing! I went to one a few years ago that had a pretty sweet tank with a big flathead in it...maybe thirtyish lbs...pretty neat to see him all submerged and hidden back in his logs and there were several huge bluegill in the tank with him that had some interesting wounds obviously from their tank mates lol....I believe it was a cabelas but not positive...for as much as I hate gar in the wild their awful neat to see in an aquarium up close as well....I could make a day of cabelas and be happy not even buying anything! Ya gotta check it out Kip its worth the drive north or south even before this new one is built IMO....

I've never been to a Cabelas or Bass Pro. Kinda excited to see all the mounts and aquarium. You will like it Kip, and you can easily spend all day in it just looking around.

It is, from what the article says it will be 80000 sq feet the Michigan one is 225000 sq feet and the Wheeling West Va is 175000. So smaller but will still be worth it IMO

I recently went to basspro in springfield mo which is there corporate headquaters.......it was better then the atlanta aquarium! they had numerous tanks, with a few 200lb alligator gars, jumbo bluecats, sturgeon, had one flathead, 175 alligator snapper, bunch of jumbo bream.......it was pretty awesome....i was up in there looking like an asian tourist taking pictures, they had the outlet store like the macon, ga one has..........but not quite the same inventory........macon, ga bass pro reigns supreme from any outdoor super store i've been to across the country..........if any of you ever find yourself driving south on I-75 through macon, ga you should stop!
