Just figured I'd let everyone know that the crawlers are out in full force tonight. We gathered several dozen. I'll probably drift them for channels in the morning. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. Guess I'll have to run out and get some worm bedding and a stryofoam cooler...

Nope wind was blowing 20 to 30mph and throwing some mean white caps. We ended up marking some fish in 16 feet of water and fishing in and around that area. We caught a few gills and got into some nice crappie. I ended up catching a 12 inch 15oz crappie on night crawler though....biggest of the day. Don't usually expect to catch crappie on crawlers, but as much moving as the boat was doing I imagine they looked like a minnow.

Sounds like a fun trip out. I love to crappie fish, esp. during the winter and early spring. Next warm up I will have to go out and see if the crawlers are up in my neck of the woods. Thanks for the heads up. rollo

Thanks for sharing your outting. The ol'lady and I were just talking last night about getting our new licenses next week and hitting Knox and Kokosing next week for some early shore fishing. Gonna try our luck out by the stump beds and see what we can come up with. If all goes well should have some pics to post. Since she never leaves the house without the camera.
