It finally happened Mr Wade did flatheads channels and blue on his new episode tonight.

I missed it. It would have been interesting to see how he vilified the catfish we target. I would under no circumstance consider any of the three to be harmful to people.....except those who intentionally place their hand in immediate danger. LOL.
I'm sure I'll catch a re-run one rainy evening.

Wow...covered all three in the same episode? Seems a lil demeaning to our freshwater predator of choice dont ya think? I honestly thought the flathead deserved an episode atleast as good as the european wells received...guess I should catch the episode before I start complaining tho lol was it any good mikey?

two hours long,it wasnt bad other then we got the famous dam myth about the divers seeing catfish 8' long.

LoL, 280lb flat heads at the LOZ dam, human eating catfish, 400lb man says a flathead had his entire leg up to his knee in his mouth? Does Jeremy Wade think that fisherman don't watch this stuff?? I almost turned the channel when i saw so much BS in one episode.

Wow this is very disappointing to hear! I can handle the b.s. and outlandish stories but jeremy wade a marine biologist who seemed so dedicated to catch and release and aquatic preservation was actually pulling flatheads off of their nest and eggs on national television?!? And he didnt even make an effort to pursue them with rod and reel either? Pretty pathtic in my opinion...gee why not pull out some limblines and jugs too while he was at it? Do believe I just lost some respect for him...

There is a reason behind it. Ratings.. There are a few noodling shows on tv right now and they are killing the ratings. "thats what people want to see." At least the ones that dont know jack about catfishing. The all mighty dollar will take precedence over ethics. We see it all the time in other venues. The term "selling out" comes to mind.

I had the show recorded. Jeremy Wade quite often fails to deliver the monsters he "hears" reports about  This guy seems to have more drama than most soap operas. I feel someone searching for dangerous sized American cats should have been on the James River. I guess it makes a better show to have goat ropers talk about big fish rather than have Wade catch a big fish. He even decided to leave the part of the Trinity river with big Aligator gars to fish the part where he only got babies because of "reports" he heard from somewhere. In my opinion Jeremy Wade is an encyclopedia of wrong information. I am glad he is not a fisheries biologist here. |

I agree with all of you.. I couldn't believe when the episode went to noodling. I have watched many river monster shows, and couldn't believe what I was seeing either. Good points though.. It probably does come down to ratings. One things for sure, ratings from this shack is gonna drop! rollo

yea what the hell was with the that. that is not fishing they should have just cut the flathead segment. it was even for a damn noodling tournament. lost all respect for the show.
