Howdy members ... ALthough I know many of you, there are some that I don't know. So will try and give a little background.
I was RetiredToFish for quite a while on BOC, but recently changed my user name on there to the one here.
I have been an avid fisherman, hunter and trapper for more years than most of you have been around. In other words, I am an "Old Fart".
Born and lived in Ohio a good part of my life, but lived in Florida for quite a few years where the channel catfishing is great and far out weighs anything Ohio can offer in that species.
I was a State Game Protector here in the State of Ohio and still believe in following the rules, even if they seem silly, like a two rod limit.
I have been been writing outdoor articles since 1970 and have an article in the March Fur, Fish & Game magazine. In the last couple of years I have concentrated on writing trapping articles and wrote and published, two years ago, an article on muskrats and trapping them.
I am hoping to be able to do some writing on fishing this summer and maybe can join up with one or more you while I am collecting material to do so.
I have been experiencing a vision problem the last couple of months and hoping to be able to get it corrected soon. It has kept me from writing as much as I would like to.
So until I have a chance to meet those of you I don't know, keep the faith and hope for an early spring and may all of your line be tight.
