Anyone ever tried tadpoles for catfish bait?

Reason I asked is because I have a pool with countless 1.000's of tadpoles of all sizes/growth stages larger ones are about 2 1/2 - 3 inches long. I was thinking about trying some of the larger ones for channel cats and others for bluegills. I guess there is only one way to find out.
