I know a few of you guys have gardens out so i figured i'd ask for help. Last year we had a deer problem, but only really late in the year so it wasnt a problem. This year we have dozens of rabbits eating our green bean plants. We have tried spraying the plants with a peppper and sulfur mix from the store, but it only worked for a week. We have a scare crow, pie pans, and even a few bars of soap out but none of it seems to work on rabbits. Any suggestions? I'd like to keep them out, rather than kill them if possible. I dont think they are in season anyway.
Any other tips to keep out unwanted pests?

With rabbits your best bet is to fence it in with chicken wire.

For a permanent fix, fence is the only solution. The sprays work, but like you said, they don’t last forever.

We are having a japaneese beetle problem. They are eating all the leaves off of my corn and all of my trees.

We are having a japaneese beetle problem. They are eating all the leaves off of my corn and all of my trees. Neem oil will help and it's safe to use on food crops. Read the label before use and follow the label directions. Neem oil can be found at any garden shop by itself or mixed with other products. Lowes sells a Green Light fruit tree spray with neem oil mix that works well and can be used on trees and gardens.

I was told that if you line your garden with maragolds (I believe thats the flower) the rabbits and such will leave it alone. So far I have a couple people that live near me that it has worked.

I used a spray myself called Deer Off which works great for rabbits as well. Plus it's weather resistant! Picked it up at Lowe's.

An electric fence charger either battery or 110 V will keep critters out. Deer especially can't understand electric fence and leave to never return.
Keep the wire low and the only varmints that get under is moles and low slung chipmunks.

We have electric fence around our hay that i could tap into easily. I may give it a shot.
For now i have been using the Deer Off product. I feel that its only good for two weeks at a time though. Man does it stink though.
