depends on what you are fishing for ? channels if you have a boat go through the cut and fish between the deep water and the shoreline usually always produces later in the summer, flats where ever you want lol they hang out anywhere in there

Well I'm going for flats but bring one pole for each though...... I want to catch a large flat before the years out...... And I thought my friends boat on Charles mill would beat pleasant hill without a boat..... (I live very close to pleasant hill about 10 minutes away)

I wouldn't recommend shad this time of year for flathead, suckers will most likely die in a short time in this heat, I would recommend checking your bait often, and replacing dead baits with live, the spring is the only time I use shad for flathead. Good luck bud, hope ya get a good one!

i got a 38 lb flat at tappan last august with cut shad so you never know, id use gills also, i wouldnt worry about bullheads usually only do well on them in the spring around the spawn

thanks guys ;D ;D im thinking about getting some gills we are gonna go a little early to get bait and get set up..... im gonna have at least one pole with shad so if their are a lot of small channels hitting we dont get many hits from flats..... always like to have one pole with cut on just to see if their are a lot of fish comfortable enough to eat... usually small fish are uncomfortable... he he he he
