Went out the other night with a couple friends to mifflin MWCD. (it was warm eough last tuesday) i was unaware that the lake was halfway drained. I understand after the flood two years ago that they had to rethink the purpose of the damns. But it makes it hard just to get to the holes where the cats are hiding. Especially if you cant get a boat in the water. but its still all soft mud.

I Hate winter! Lol. I believe they draw down all the MWCD lakes. It's a great time to get out there and scout though. At this time you can see structure, rock piles etc. in shallow water.

Alot of fishermen use the draw down months to build and rearrange structures for sure! We sink Christmas Trees every year on an area lake as well. Pretty neat to be able to get a good look at certain areas during this time of year before they are flooded back with water again. rollo
