My day started out yesterday with a text from Sean that said he had found a 15hp tiller outboard on Craigslist that was in great shape for $165 and I have been looking for a bigger motor. Which was a hell of a deal so we knew it wouldnt last long. Long story short the motor was about 4hrs from me and about 1hr from Sean, Sean was the one who clued me in on the drive times and he offered, without any conversation on the topic at all, to go and pick it up for me so that I could get it faster. Well when I got the guy he had the motor and was still looking to sell but had one guy he promised to hold it for to look at and as luck goes he bought it. Thanks again Sean for looking and offering to pick it up.

Well during this I had been texting back and forth with Kip. So i had let him know about the motor since I was pretty pumped up. So when I told him about it getting sold he told me he might know of a 9.9hp that someone might be looking to get rid of. It turned out it was another member on here fatcat. So it looks like I ended up with a motor after all because of a few stand up dudes! Thanks again guys!

I know that was a long story but it is another example of the member base here. Thank you guys for all of your help and being true friends!

its going to be crazy not taking 20min to get from one side of the river to another lol. mines not that bad for river but on lakes it feels like you are going no where

We had it on a 14 foot jon boat and pushed it fine. The boat was the problem. lol

Glad you found a good motor afterall. Kinda felt bad when you text me he sold it.

We had an old 7.5hp and loaded down we got 5 to 6mph and it sucked. We once made a 2 hour trip up a creek one way only to shear a pin on the motor and have to troll back down. So i know how having a slow ride is. Time for more fishing and less driving. Lol

I'm glad lucky dialed me into this group of guys! That's what is all about sure everyone is out to slay the monster but at the same time helping one another is most important. Myself I lost touch with the fact that there are good people still out in this cruel world. But I can see in this forum there are good people not too use someone for there boat financial gains and espcially (bait)! Just appriciate being apart of it.

stumbling across the boc was one of best things thats happened to me as far as making some great friends. it sucks now but the people who made it worth it are here now
