Does anybody know anyone that does reel cleaning or anything with remodeling a set of 7000 c3s, and some baitrunners... I mainly want them cleaned, but I would love to upgrade or at least put some fresh parts into the older of my 7000s. Got it at a garage sale for $70 and its a great working reel just want it ran over before I hook a nice fish!

Rollo has a guy in Newark that fixes and cleans reels. I think it's 8 bucks a reel last time I had mine done. No piece goes overlooked.

I know how to do my own and i'd consider paying 8 bucks to save myself a little time and headache......you know the one you get from trying to find that spring or bolt that fell off the table and disappeared. Lol. If it aint broke dont fix it fishstick. I have a couple older abus with original parts and they work fine.

i clean and regrease all my own reels. Saves a lot of money. Doesnt save me any time though. lol i like to have a complete knowledge of my reels and complete confidence in them. If something messes up while im on the lake i know exactly what went wrong and what i need to do to fix it. it keeps me in a better peace of mind. when im sitting on the lake relaxing.

I agree Sean, I'de definitely pay $8 a reel to have a pro clean out my reels. I know how to do some basic cleaning on my reels but not the fine tuning spots like in the drag and stuff. And if I don't take it apart and put the pieces in order I'll never get one back together. There's a guy at Fisherman's Warehouse here in Columbus who does reel repair. I've had one fixed there and he cleaned it good when he repaired it. Also took a reel there in pieces that I got from somebody and he put it back together for me for like $10.

is this the same outfit that will put stainless eyes on my big cats? Jordan, im not sure. Been awhile since I have had any eyes replaced. I would just call and ask. But, I wouldn't see why not. They can do pretty much anything when it comes to repairs within reason last I checked. rollo
