Just read Mexicanthreats story and it reminded me of an incident we had at Buckeye Lake carp fishing a few years ago. Me and a buddy were fishing off a cpl docks where we asked the owners for permission to fish off of and there were a cpl guys a few docks down fishing as well. They were nice, funny guys who knew how to throw back a cpl Natty's if you know what I mean. Well while we're sitting on the dock, we hear some noise and look over and one guys pole flies into the water. With no hesitation the guy dives in head first in what can't be any deeper than 3-4ft of water and dissappears. After about 10-15 seconds or so with no noise we start to head over to his dock. We get all the way to his dock by the time he comes up and he bursts out the water pole in hand fighting the fish. He fights the carp to his body and tries to grab it and the carp makes a run and he drops his pole again. He luckily was able to grab his pole before it got too far away and starts fighting the carp again. This time we grabbed his net and were able to net the carp for him from the dock. Ended up being a nice sized carp at 13lbs. Didn't actually happen to me but definitely a rememorable experience.
If anybody else has any funny stories I'de love to hear em while sittin here waiting on warmer temps.

At least his was big enough to be proud of. It's always awesome to have a good story wether your the witness or the idiot who didn't want to lose a perfectly good reel.
