First places I target on the river are feeder creek mouths, up in the creeks where fish often move up esp. in elevated water levels to seek warmer water where baitfish reside , and off sunny sandbars that often move the baitfish up on them in the afternoon. Good places to start....rollo

thanks for the tip.im wanting to try some catting in the spring.do to mushrooms an lawncare high water.i always look it over,im a river fishermen.can some people share some ideas to try? should i try wintering hole.or maybe where i caught them in the fall.

often times in the spring i will catch them in holes on bends. mostly during the day! the night bite stays slow til the water warms up pretty good.

Heres a flat from April 4th, this is my earliest Flathead. The water temp was around 45 degrees and air temps were in the 30s. I caught him in high water in a eddy on a live white bass. Attachments:
