Just didnt catch it the way I expected, of course not on any of the several hundred dollar rigs I purchased last year.... I landed my first flattie on my Plueger trion ultra-light combo with 4 lb. mono. It took a while to figure out what I had on, but after about a 20 minute fight, following it around with the trolling motor, and pulling branches off the line, I was able to land it. I had 3 other guys with me, thank goodness cause I don't think anyone would believe that I was able to land it. Little 1/16 ounce jig was hooked perfectly, right on the outside of the lip where it could not get cut. Awesome experience! Pictures attached. Didn't weight it, but felt pretty decent. Attachments:

On an ultra-light combo with 4 lb. mono. That's something to brag about for sure.
