Me and a couple buddies got a pontoon a little while back and upgraded from the Mud Minnow. It's a 1985 Landau. Came with a 30hp Suzuki that blew up first time out and during the first MVCATS tourney. Got 40hp Johnson for it now but it was a short shaft. Hadn't done it yet in the pic but cut the transom down and then had to figure out a way to rig the steering cable or buy the kit online for $180, so we figured something out with what we had. The zip ties, wire, and tape in the pic were from a quick fix we had to make while on the first test run. We've fixed it since then. Had to figure out a way to mount the trandsucer and this is what we came up with. Have used it a couple times and it seems to be holding up fine and working fine. One of my buddies is getting a house soon that has a big garage and other out buildings that we plan on working on the boat in this winter. We are going to re-do the floor, console, seating, get the actual steering kit for the motor, have a welder put an actual transducer mount on, everything pretty much. It is fishable as is and will work fine for the rest of the season.

Awesome! Can't really find many deals on pontoons round here. I'd scoop one up if I had the chance.
Can't wait to see how it looks finished off.

Yea my buddies that went in on it with me are commercial carpenters and can build about anything. I'm sure it will look real nice once we re-do it this winter.
